Revealing my first painting of 2025: Blue Cave Tales - The tree and the water
This piece started in 2023, is inspired by a photo I took inside the Quadirikiri caves of Aruba. These caves were once underwater, holding the memory of ancient tides. As I painted, that feeling of submersion naturally came through, the blues, the depth, the quiet mystery of a world that existed long before us.
In the middle of the process, something unexpected happened. A tree wanted to make its way into the painting. I felt its presence insist, so I honored it, letting it take its place. A silent guardian, a messenger of something ancient returning to the surface.
The sacred place becomes a receptacle for knowledge that has traveled far beyond our planet. As I painted, I felt whispers of the stars, a wisdom moving through the roots, through the water, through dimensions. It wasn’t ready to emerge before, but now, in 2025, it is. More details to come.
